The Mission of BlissBlissBliss is to assist clients in being their most authentic self. I know from first-hand experience that a relaxed and in-tune body can connect to the stresses of daily living with more ease and mindfulness. BlissBlissBliss continues to be created as a place where practitioners of the healing arts can come and share their beautiful talents with our Bliss Family (our clients). My personal goal is to learn more about Ayurveda (The Science of Life), a form of medicine endorsed by The World Health Organization. In Ayurveda food is medicine so learning how food affects our bodies is a keen source of inspiration for me. I look forward to combining Ayurveda with a yogic lifestyle one that combines healthy lifestyle choices like yoga, meditation, bodywork and satisfying eating habits. As the founder of BlissBlissBliss, my business goal is to continue to bring to Morgantown and the surrounding area, a space where our community of clients and practitioners can thrive.

Since 1994, my yoga journey has yielded the most amazing experiences through an eclectic personal practice, self-discovery, studying with master teachers and mostly by celebrating in my students’ yoga epiphanies. I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2009 with Joanne Vanden Hengel of 3rd Street Yoga, and in the spring of 2011, completed the Pre/Postnatal Yoga Teacher Certification through Yoga Matrika with Sharon Rudyk.
I have been honored to be teaching at BlissBlissBliss since January 2009 and to help develop the yoga program with Mary Jo Schick. In my classes, I enjoy blending the metaphysical aspects of yoga with my love for movement, playful expression, and awakened breathing. I seek to create a positive space where every student can feel safe and empowered to open the door to emotional and physical well-being. I am most passionate about women-centered issues, especially the motherhood years, which inspired me to start the BlissMama Pre/Postnatal Yoga Program at BlissBlissBliss in January 2011.

Specialties: Ayurvedic Bodywork, Raindrops & Stone Therapy, Intuitive Bodywork, Core Strength Vinyasa, Hot Vinyasa, Power Yoga, Yin Yoga
I’m a motorcycle riding yogini that has been dabbling in yoga before I realized it was called “yoga.” I began my first yoga teacher training in 2009 to be able to share the transformation that was happening within me with others. Since then I’ve been blessed to practice and study with incredible teachers (both renowned and some less recognized). I have learned that our greatest teacher is within but in order to hear the teacher within us, we have to learn how to be still and listen. I recognize yoga (and it’s sister science, Ayurveda) as a lifestyle that we must commit to living on a daily basis. In my classes you can expect to be challenged and nurtured, sweat and take rest, and learn to find your inner voice and strength. I teach from the heart because that is where yoga resides.
While I always knew I would share my love of yoga with others it was a different struggle coming into the bodywork side of things. I’ve always had a dream of wanting to help others but didn’t know how best to accomplish that dream. After leaving the accounting world in 2009 I went to massage therapy school. It was only the beginning of a new found love for me. I am passionate about what I do and am constantly seeking ways to help guide my clients to self-realization, self-healing and empowerment.
One of my favorite mantras is one that I try to live everyday. Lokah Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu: May all beings everywhere be happy and free and may the thoughts, words and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.

Specialties: Gentle Yoga, Yoga for Seniors, Anusara Influenced, Hatha
I began taking Hatha Yoga classes in 1974 in the D.C. area with Kathy Thomas-Paddack and dignitaries Lilias Folan and Sita Frenkel and began Hatha teacher training in 1976. My journey took a few detours as I returned to graduate school, ran 3 Marathons, married, started a family, and moved cross-country and back again, finally landing in WV in 1989. I studied in the Iyengar method under local teachers Colleen Harshbarger and Siegfried Bleher and other nationally known teachers as John Schumacher, Dean and Rebecca Lerner, and Lois Steinberg.
After suffering a grave illness in the late 90’s, I returned more seriously to Yoga and began substitute teaching at NIOSH in 2005. In 2006, a workshop with Desiree Rumbaugh introduced me to Anusara Yoga, a heart-themed yoga founded by John Friend. Anusara is a life-affirming, and freedom-enhancing yoga. Through this yoga, I try to connect the students’ hearts and minds, and allow them to find their individual light, beauty, love, and goodness that they may extend to others. I continue my journey and hopefully try to shine on this path.
I am currently working toward my Anusara-inspired status. At Bliss, I teach Anusara-influenced Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Gentle Yoga, and Yoga for Seniors. I love doing, sharing, and teaching Yoga, in general, and in small class environments. I love to honor and serve my students as well as learn from them. I believe that taking the time to teach the Universal Principles of Alignment of Anusara Yoga will providing my students with a solid base to increase their awareness and to better serve themselves and others. I hope to help students connect their mind and their body with their own inner heartfelt wisdom so as to live life more fully every day. I believe that teaching is a way that I can serve others and help my students to grow and aspire to be their own special person.
Because of my age, flexible body and nature, as well as experiences, I offer much to the over-50 age group. I try to make my classes upbeat and fun, as well as informative, supportive and authentic. I enjoy deepening the learning process in hopes that when students leave my class, they are inspired to be good to themselves and kinder to others. I am deeply honored to serve my students with the intention that while they connect to their breath, they might feel each pose with an open heart and a quiet mind. Yoga then will be a way my students to explore themselves more deeply and to better face life’s challenges. I gratefully acknowledge my students and my teachers-John Friend, Sianna Sherman, Todd Norian, Betsey Downing, Deb Neubauer, and Christy Nones, Randy Boyd, and Colleen Harshbarger, who also teaches at Bliss.

Specialties: Anusara-Inspired Yoga, Yoga Private, Wellness Coaching
I first discovered the healing power of yoga in 1989 as a competitive cyclist recovering from a back injury and have been teaching since 1994. For about a ten year period, I studied extensively in the Iyengar method and after much exploration and study with some of this country’s amazing teachers including Judith Lasater, Patricia Walden, Paul Grilley and Seanne Corne, I found my way to Anusara Yoga. Anusara Yoga is grounded in a Tantric philosophy of intrinsic goodness. This philosophy teaches non-duality, everything in the world is part of the same Supreme Consciousness – and it’s all good! I owe much much gratitude to my current teachers Sianna Sherman and John Friend (founder of Anusara Yoga) who continue to open my mind and heart in ways that are beyond words. As an Anusara- Inspired teacher on the path to full certification, I find great delight in encouraging play and discovery to help others see and express their innate beauty.
My background is also informed by my choice of professional occupation. I am a wellness professional with a M.S. degree in exercise science, biomechanics. I established employee wellness programs at Reebok International and NIOSH before establishing my own yoga studio for eight years and then working in my current job as Director of the WELLWVU Office of Wellness and Health Promotion where I serve students at West Virginia University.
I have worked therapeutically with a diverse array of clientele from athletes with performance related goals to persons recovering from stroke, living with M.S. and surviving cancer.
In addition to yoga, I find renewal in nature, family time, cycling, cross country skiing and kayaking.
Certifications: Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher 500+ (E-RYT 500) Yoga Alliance; Anusara-Inspired – I have studied and taught Anusara yoga for at least two years and have over 200 hours of Anusara yoga beyond my E-RYT. M.S. Exercise Science

Laurel Faulkenberry, MA, LPC

Specialties: Breath Integration & Rebirthing
My life’s journey continues to provide amazing opportunities filled with hope, peace, joy and love. I have been afforded the opportunity to comfortably combine the lessons and skills set that I developed as a re-birthing specialist with the more secular world of family therapy and thus feel that I have helped others come to a better understanding of their true core being.
My involvement with re-birthing spans over 20+ years and has provided the opportunity to work with some of the most supportive practioners in New Mexico, Colorado and Vermont. This journey has allowed me to develop a deep seated belief that we all have the ability to nurture and heal areas of our life that may be preventing us from reaching our full, spirit-filled, potential.
Re-birthing not only helps us identify those areas, but allows us to work in a safe and supportive environment in order to develop our maximum spiritual, emotional and physical potential.

Jamison (Jamie) Thomas, LMT

Specialties: Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, Hot Stone Massage, and Body Scrubs.
Eight years ago I was recovering from my second separated shoulder from snowboarding. This injury, along with many others (from five years of intensive snowboarding and racing mountain bikes), made me take a break. I was fortunate enough to be able to spend my recovery time on the island of Kauai in the Hawaiian Islands. Part of that recovery included the work of a really good massage therapist. This made me very interested in massage and motivated me to go to school on the island of Kauai. I spent five years doing massage therapy and surfing daily, before it was time to return to my home town Morgantown with my new career and passion.
Along the way, I have also had the opportunity to perfect my skill in medical massage which includes the reduction and elimination of sciatic, lower back, shoulder, neck, ankle, wrist pain and numbness, in addition to reducing headaches, while increasing range of motion. I have had the opportunity to work on professional, college, and high-school athletes, which I find very enjoyable and rewarding.
