Warm Yoga
Not sure if Hot Yoga is for you? Don’t know if you can handle the heat? Why not give our Warm Yoga a try. The room is still heated but to a lower temperature but you will still get all of the benefits. Hydration is extremely important so drink plenty of water before and after class. Please bring your water bottle to have in class with you. Also bring a towel to have to put on your mat to prevent slippage. As with all yoga classes, it is important to do yoga on an empty stomach. Please try to avoid eating at least two hours before class. If you must eat, fruit is the best option as it is more easily digested. For full details please see description for Hot Yoga. If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to email Melita melitamollohan@gmail.com.
Hot Yoga
Hot yoga has been getting a wringing wet endorsement from enthusiasts who say that it relieves stress, drops pounds and increases flexibility, balance and strength. BlissBlissBliss is proud to be the only studio that offers hot yoga in Morgantown.
The room is intentionally heated because of the many benefits it offers to your body. Heat protects your muscles as they move through their full range of motion. When practicing in the heat, endorphins are released helping to reverse the negative effects of stress. Heat increases the heart rate, which in turn, strengthens the heart. Heat causes the collagen around the joints to soften for more freedom of movement and improves the nervous system.
Be prepared to sweat. The process of sweating releases toxins, and exfoliates and rejuvenates the skin, which is the largest organ of your body. You will leave glowing. Hydration is extremely important so drink plenty of water before coming to hot yoga. Some yoga postures squeeze and flush your kidneys which release toxins in your body. Water is essential to help flush those toxins out. It is also important to drink water after class. You will be sweating and drinking water will help replenish the fluid that was lost during class. Yoga is best done on an empty stomach, so try not to eat at least two hours before your class. If you must eat, fruit is the best option since it is easily digested.
Hot yoga participants are required to bring a towel to put over your yoga mat. This helps to prevent slippage. Wear light, breathable clothing that you will be comfortable sweating in and that will not restrict your movement. Also, be sure to bring some water to have with you in class. Restorative Yoga
The restful yoga postures of Restorative Yoga are supported by several props, such as bolsters, pillows and blankets. These poses are held longer than in other yoga classes to enhance the release of tension related to stress, muscular tightness, or any other factors that leave one feeling imbalanced. Benefits include soothing the nervous system, nourishing muscles and organs, and mental clarity. No prior yoga experience necessary. This class is a must for those who need to unwind from busy lives and reconnect with the body.
