Sat Nam Series: I Am The Eagle
Invoke the animal spirit of the eagle in the 90-minute vinyasa flow workshop.
Rebecca will offer a challenging sequence of asana including a flowing balance series with Garudasana, eagle pose.
Class will incorporate pranayama, mudra, and mantra techniques in an effort to awaken the Garuda spirit in all of us. We will examine the energetic flow of the five vayus in the body: prana, apana, vyana, udana, and samana.
This class is designed to help you gain perspective on difficult problems and habitual patterns that hold you back. Break free of limited, myopic vision and rise above the clouds to see the big picture. Students will be most comfortable if they are familiar with basic asana practices, previous yoga experience recommended.
Rebecca Herod’s Sat Nam Series is designed to deepen your personal relationship with concepts and poses in yoga so you can live your yoga both on and off the mat. Sat Nam means, true name or true essence. In these workshops we will explore the energetic, symbolic, and philosophical underpinnings of common poses. Advance registration is required. Space is limited to 15 students.
