Riverflow: Yoga & Journaling for Creativity
If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, Infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things thro’ narrow chinks of his cavern. –William Blake
Inside each of us, there is a sacred, infinite river of creativity flowing, calmly inviting us to come for a swim. Modern life, however, can bog us down. Its commitment to “busy-ness” creates a kind of constant mind chatter that clouds our perception and blocks access to our sacred river. We become complacent or bored—we forget about our river! It’s criminal!
If you’ve gotten away from your flow and would like to learn how to get back, Riverflow is for you. In this workshop we’ll use various modalities: chakra evaluation and tuning, deep listening techniques, asana, writing exercises, and meditation. You’ll learn to center yourself so you can open up to inspiration. It’s time to clean those glass doors!
Riverflow is a dynamic workshop for adults who wish to develop focus and tap into their creativity. Led by Mary Angel Blount, RYT, MFA, this class combines writing exercises with yoga, meditation, breathwork, and chanting designed specifically to increase creativity, focus, and clarity. You will learn to invite inspiration by putting your mind and body into a relaxed and receptive state, your own personal creative zone. For both the accomplished student as well as the novice, Riverflow will move you past your creative blocks and deliver the inspiration and support needed to take your creativity to the next level.
All levels welcome. Dive in!
