Lila Menzies is an athlete inspired yoga teacher. As a passionate whitewater kayaker, trail runner, skier and cyclist, she is rooted from an athletic background and mindset. Her classes challenge you to find your inner strength, your inner flexibility, your inner balanced bliss. She enjoys helping others find balance in their health and fitness and strongly feels that everyone has different needs both physically and mentally. Committed to bringing inspiration, energy and laughter to every class, Lila encourages her students to better connect and listen to their bodies. Lila has studied under Lauren Hanna, assistant of Shiva Rea and David Swenson among others. Lila completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2011 with Joanne Vanden Hengel of 3rd Street Yoga.

Maureen writes, “I found my love of yoga by way of modern dance. As a professional dancer in New York, I often struggled with inflexible body. After discovering yoga, I experienced fuller, richer, more dynamic movement and breath. Years later, yoga also kept me focused and healthy through my pregnancies. The benefits yoga has afforded me in mind, body and spirit have inspired me to share by way of teaching.

In June of 2012 I completed Bliss’ first 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training with Joanne VandenHengel. It has expanded my horizons on countess levels and I am grateful and excited to continue the learning journey through teaching and personal practice. My goal as a yoga teacher is to have people leave feeling more relaxed, empowered and connected than when they came in. My husband and children are a constant reminder that life is beautiful!”
