Yoga for Athletes… taking the body to the next level!

Not to be confused with “Athletic Yoga”, this class helps athletes of all ages optimize energy to transform the competitive experience. Balance the muscular and nervous systems by counteracting the repetitive movements of your sport.  Understand energy inputs, outputs and lifestyle practices that affect performance and speed recovery.

September 28th – Dec 21 st Class meets weekly on Wednesdays at 7 pm at BlissBlissBliss. Advanced registration strongly encouraged.

I first discovered the healing power of yoga in 1989 as a competitive cyclist recovering from a back injury and have been teaching since 1994. My studies include extensive training in the Iyengar and Anusara methods of yoga, as well as a graduate degree in exercise science / biomechanics. I’ve had the opportunity to work with elite athletes at the U.S. Olympic training Center and at Reebok International as well as college, high school and adult recreational athletes.
