Eight years ago I was recovering from my second separated shoulder from snowboarding. This injury, along with many others (from five years of intensive snowboarding and racing mountain bikes), made me take a break. I was fortunate enough to be able to spend my recovery time on the island of Kauai in the Hawaiian Islands. Part of that recovery included the work of a really good massage therapist.
This made me very interested in massage and motivated me to go to school on the island of Kauai. I spent five years doing massage therapy and surfing daily, before it was time to return to my home town Morgantown with my new career and passion.
Along the way, I have also had the opportunity to perfect my skill in medical massage which includes the reduction and elimination of sciatic, lower back, shoulder, neck, ankle, wrist pain and numbness, in addition to reducing headaches, while increasing range of motion. I have had the opportunity to work on professional, college, and high-school athletes, which I find very enjoyable and rewarding.
