Introduction to Ayurveda: Seasonal Wellness Series
with Molly Culleton
January 15th | 1pm – 3pm | $25 (normally $30)
Ayurveda, Sanskrit for the “science of life”, is India’s 5000 year old medical system. It is commonly referred to as Yoga’s sister science, as both are rooted in the ancient Vedic tradition. Yoga teaches us how to balance our mind, while Ayurveda teaches us how to balance our body through the use of food, herbs, and living in harmony with nature. In this 2 hour workshop, we will explore the general foundations of Ayurveda and its unique tri-dosha approach. We will then focus on diet and lifestyle routines specific for the winter season which will help us stay healthy and grounded. The workshop will end with a restorative Yoga practice, allowing time for relaxation and inward reflection. Handouts of class material will be provided. This class is charged at time of registration. $25 (normally $30)
