Details about September Events:
Meditation for Healthy Living
Many of us have read that meditation can ease a host of symptoms associated with our stressful lifestyles. But most of us who have actually "sat in meditation" find that in spite of our best efforts what we do when we sit does not feel like meditation at all. If you are this person, but are interested in knowing the tricks and tools used by great sages, accomplished yogis and ordinary people like us join Nabin at BlissBlissBliss This Saturday from 9am-noon.
In this class Nabin will teach you 5 different types of Pranayama (Breathing Meditations ), Yoga Nidra (Deep Yogic Sleep), and Mindfulness Meditation Techniques. This workshop will contain lots of movement to get out the wiggles before meditation. Cost is $40
FREE Yoga Class with Melita at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park
We will try to fit on the stage but if something else is going on there is a big, lovely tree that will provide shade by the river (if you are looking at the stage this big tree is over to your left). This is completely FREE so bring as many friends as you want. Please bring either a yoga mat or a towel (if you don't have a mat) and some water.

Join Melita for an exploration of creativity as an extension of your yoga practice. Spend time indulging in creative play by making a vision board, meditating, practicing yoga, discussing ways to live more creatively, and engaging in svadyaya (self-study) while communing with like-minded friends.
Creative visualization is a mental technique that uses the imagination to make dreams become realities. We start by flipping through magazines, pulling out any images that make you smile. Taking the images that speak to you, we’ll glue them down on a folder and make a vision board.
All you need to bring is your journal, your tea mug, old magazines that you don’t mind cutting up and an open heart & mind.
Workshop is 3 ½ hours. Cost is $40 and includes a free goody bag. Tea and light snacks will be provided. Space is limited, please pre-register by e-mailing Melita: melitamollohan@gmail.com.
Crystal Healing Workshop with Elasa at JUST B
Please email Elasa: elasa1212@hotmail.com for more details. Cost is $85.
Yoga for your Dosha with Mary Jo ($25)
Come explore the world's oldest system of medicine, Ayurveda, and it's application to your specific dosha (Kapha, Pitta, Vata), and your personal yoga/bodywork practices.
We'll begin with a doshic constitutional analysis, discussion of each dosha, and then practice yoga postures designed to balance each dosha. Very generally: Kapha's are large, earthy, grounded slow movers, Pitta's are driven, directed, Type "A", Vata's are thin, creative thinkers (outside the box), but can be scattered and undirected. Why is Bound Lotus so good for Pitta but not for Kapha? How is it that Shoulderstand is good for pitta, Handstand for Vata, and all inversions are good for Kapha?
We'll discuss all this and more in BlissBlissBliss' Yoga and Ayurveda: Yoga for your Dosha workshop Saturday Sept. 25 from 2-4 pm $25.00. For more information on Ayurveda, see the most recent BlissBlissBliss Newsletter. To ask more questions about this workshop contact Mary Jo at mjschick1@comcast.net
HOT Yoga Sampler with Melita Mollohan
Hot yoga has been getting a wringing wet endorsement from enthusiasts who say that it relieves stress, drops pounds and increases flexibility, balance and strength. BlissBlissBliss is proud to be the only studio that offers hot yoga in Morgantown.
The room is intentionally heated because of the many benefits it offers to your body. Heat protects your muscles as they move through their full range of motion. When practicing in the heat, endorphins are released helping to reverse the negative effects of stress. Heat increases the heart rate, which in turn, strengthens the heart. Heat causes the collagen around the joints to soften for more freedom of movement and improves the nervous system.
Be prepared to sweat. The process of sweating releases toxins, and exfoliates and rejuvenates the skin, which is the largest organ of your body. You will leave glowing.Hydration is extremely important so drink plenty of water before coming to hot yoga. Some yoga postures squeeze and flush your kidneys which release toxins in your body. Water is essential to help flush those toxins out. It is also important to drink water after class. You will be sweating and drinking water will help replenish the fluid that was lost during class. Yoga is best done on an empty stomach, so try not to eat at least two hours before your class. If you must eat, fruit is the best option since it is easily digested.
Hot yoga participants are required to bring a towel to put over your yoga mat. This helps to prevent slippage. Wear light, breathable clothing that you will be comfortable sweating in and that will not restrict your movement. Also, be sure to bring some water to have with you in class. For additional questions contact melitamollohan@gmail.com. Use your Yoga Package for payment.
